About

Hi, I'm Austin (AJ), a UX and Product Designer with a technical background and a soft spot for complicated problems.

I've spent most of my career working at the intersection of design, technology, and business. I started out designing and building websites, eventually moving into UX and product work across B2B, SaaS, and enterprise applications. Along the way, I've worked on everything from marketing websites to complex internal tools, search experiences, and custom workflows.

I enjoy taking something messy and figuring out how to make it clearer. That might mean understanding how people actually use a product, mapping out a better workflow, sketching a new interface, digging through analytics, or working with engineers to make sure a good design actually works in the real world. My technical background helps me bridge that gap between what should be built and what can actually be built.

Today, I'm focused on UX and Product Design, with an emphasis on thoughtful interfaces, clear interactions, and experiences that solve real problems for real people.

When I'm not working, I'm usually out photographing something interesting, weird, or both. I'm also into woodworking, terrariums, and pretty much any creative project that gives me an excuse to make something with my hands.

I'm always happy to talk design, swap ideas, or argue about which design book everyone should read next. Feel free to get in touch.
